“Dad - a son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love”.
I am extremely close to my Dad - probably closer than most my age. I think this is because we have gone through so much together and were each other’s rocks when we lost my Mom. Now, we hold onto each other extra-tight. There is nobody and there will never be anybody in this entire world that can replace the place in my heart for my Dad. He has taught me what Love means. Not just compassion or being forced to say you love some random extended family, but deep down, I-would-do-anything-for-you love. There is one thing that I’ve learned about love from my dad: Love means honestly wanting someone to be happy without gaining anything yourself. My dad has held me when I was bawling, answered all my uncomfortable questions, embraced me after an achievement, and held my hand while I work through personal problems. There’s really nothing I can do to repay him for how has treated me. I pray that I can be the best daughter I can be for my Dad. Even though I lost my mom at a young age, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be blessed with such a perfect dad.
